What is QliniLab?
QliniLab is lab software (a laboratory information system) for pathology labs and diagnostic centres in India. It covers order entry and billing at the counter, a live sample worklist, result entry with auto-calculated values and flags, verification before release, and branded report PDFs — in one web app.
Who is QliniLab for?
QliniLab is for standalone pathology labs, diagnostic centres and collection-and-testing labs in India, from a single counter to a multi-staff lab. Clinics with an in-house lab can use the same lab module inside Qlinikit, our clinic software.
Do I need to install anything?
No. QliniLab runs in any modern browser on a computer, tablet or phone. You need an internet connection, and a printer if you print reports.
How long does it take to start using QliniLab?
Most labs can take their first order the day they sign up. The longest step is setting up your test list, which starts from ready-made panel templates you review and edit, rather than from a blank page.
How do we get our test list in?
Start from ready-made panel templates — tests, parameters and units — and edit them to match your analysers and methods. Reference ranges are always yours to set; QliniLab never guesses them.

Samples, results and verification
How does QliniLab track samples?
Every order moves across a live worklist board by stage — waiting, in testing, ready and handed over — so the counter and the bench always see the same picture, on a desktop or a phone.
Does QliniLab calculate values like LDL automatically?
Yes. Calculated parameters such as LDL (Friedewald) fill in as soon as the values they depend on are entered. The lab chooses which formulas to use, and calculated values are checked before the report is verified.
Does QliniLab flag abnormal results?
Yes. Results outside the reference range are flagged high or low, and values beyond the critical limits you set are flagged as critical. Ranges can differ by age and sex.
Can results be verified by a pathologist before release?
Yes. With verification turned on, entered results wait until an authorised person verifies them; only then can the report be printed or shared. Each user's right to verify is set individually.
Can we send some tests to another lab?
Yes. Mark tests as outsourced to a partner lab, track their status, record the partner's results, and keep your agreed partner price so your margin on each test stays visible.
Can several staff work at the same time?
Yes. The front desk, technicians and pathologists each sign in with their own login and role, and see only what their role needs. Every change is recorded in an activity log with who made it and when.
Reports
Can I use my existing letterhead?
Yes. Reports can carry your logo and details as a branded PDF, or print without a header onto your pre-printed stationery.
How do patients get their reports?
Print the report at the counter, download it as a PDF, or share it with the patient on WhatsApp from the order.
Can a report be corrected after it is ready?
Yes, until the report is handed over to the patient. Corrections are recorded in the activity log, so every change to a result has a name and a time against it.
Billing and pricing
Does QliniLab handle lab billing?
Yes. Bill at the counter with test prices and packages, take full or part payments, give a discount with a recorded reason, issue refunds, and close the day with the totals already added up.
How much does QliniLab cost?
QliniLab is a monthly plan priced by the number of lab users, with a discount for paying yearly. Current prices are on qlinilab.com/pricing and are shown before GST. Larger labs and multi-branch networks can ask for a custom plan.
Is GST included in the price?
No. Prices are shown before GST, which is added on your invoice. Every billing cycle you receive a proper GST invoice from Qlinio Private Limited.
Is there a setup fee?
No. The self-serve plans have no setup fee, and we help you set up your test list during onboarding.
What counts as a lab user?
A lab user is each staff member who signs in to work in the lab — technicians, pathologists and the lab front desk. You can add users to your plan at any time.
Can we pay monthly or yearly?
Either. Yearly billing costs less per month than paying monthly; the saving is shown on each plan on the pricing page.
We have several branches — is there a plan for that?
Yes. Multi-branch labs and lab networks get a custom plan priced for their volume and branches. Book a demo or email support@qlinio.com to discuss it.
Data and security
Who owns our lab's data?
Your lab does. QliniLab processes patient and test data only to provide the service to your lab, never sells it, never uses it for advertising, and never uses it to train AI models. You can ask for an export of your data.
Is patient data kept secure?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, each lab's data is kept separate from every other customer's, and inside your account each person sees only what their role allows.
Is QliniLab compliant with India's DPDP Act?
QliniLab is built to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023: your lab is the Data Fiduciary for its patients' data and Qlinio processes it on your instructions. Our privacy policy at qlinilab.com/privacy sets out the detail.
